Next week, South’s GSA and Stuco are sponsoring a hygiene drive for Youth in Need to support their outreach for teens experiencing homelessness. Various items can be donated to room 216 (Mrs. Braddy’s room), the library, or in the commons before school and at lunch. FZSiam Diversity Club

The GLSEN #DayofSilence is a national student-led demonstration where #LGBTQ students and allies worldwide take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools.

Claudette Colvin was arrested for not giving up her bus seat to white passengers, 9 months prior to Rosa Parks refusing to give up her public bus seat in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. Colvin later joined three other women to help overturn bus segregation in Alabama. #BHM
