It was my pleasure to host a panel discussion today on the Future of Commercial Space at #SPACETECHEXPO in Long Beach. It was a great discussion with a great audience. Bottom line insight - it’s a challenging time but opportunity abounds!

In another sign of how the rift between Trump and Musk is affecting national policy, space officials have said that the White House is likely to accept significant changes to the NASA budget that could adversely affect SpaceX. wapo.st/45K3hvQ

Interesting development. Big question - will US systems be targeted for compliance to follow more restrictive rules to get landing rights in the second largest market for satellite services? More stringent EU rules have already impacted big tech. spacenews.com/europes-far-re…

I’m sure Musk fans will be defensive but, in the end, the nation’s defenses should not be in the hands of a single person or company. It’s good that this happened now not when the reliance on SpaceX was even more complete, wapo.st/43wKjaD

ICYMI NASA is consolidating social media & working on messaging. Lets see what messages emerge with President Donald J. Trump themes ala 'Make America Great In Space Again'. FYI narrowcasting will ignore a large swath of the citizenry. NASA works for - and should be focusing on - every citizen -

I wish people would chill & let the NTSB do its job. With India attending the G7 in Canada, recall Air India 182 was destroyed by a terrorist bomb to embarass Modi. Maybe it’s a Boeing issue - it could also be maintenance, pilot error or something else. stocks.apple.com/ABzW--8FhSL2Z6…

Can’t say I blame Europe but it’s sad to see such a long term partnership weaken for no good reason other than the US becoming insular and less interested in space: Europe Looks to Space Resilience, Autonomy Amid Global Changes – SpacePolicyOnline.com spacepolicyonline.com/news/europe-lo…

Concerning news. I wonder if the large number of Progress and Soyuz docking impacts over 30 years has contributed to transfer tunnel fragility.

I can't believe that manned fighter jets managed to render a country famous for drone and missile production totally impotent against airstrikes in less than a week. I was told on twitter dot com that such planes were now obsolete and had gone the way of the dinosaurs.

Much as I’m concerned with over reliance on SpaceX, having some of the contracts they’ve won cancelled over a social media fight between the President and Musk is improper. reuters.com/business/aeros…
