I think this would be the hardest thing to adjust to in America, simultaneously the complacency and lack of opportunities is what I dislike about the UK the most. My friend who is a transplant says "Americans have to win or lose, they can't really just sit still."

Tacticool "occupying military force" aesthetic is unacceptable and illegitimate. Police should have sharp dress uniforms in classic Americana colors: pressed white trousers, navy officer jacket, red officer cap. Camo is the opposite of law and order.
