Imagine a world where all survivors of human trafficking have the opportunity to defend and possibly expunge their criminal records for crimes committed as a direct result of being a victim. The Trafficking Survivors Relief Act could make this a reality.

In 2021 AB 2169 clarified that California’s vacatur laws erase a survivor’s criminal record because their criminalization was legally invalid. Advocacy work is such an important part of creating a world with more opportunities for all to be #FreeToThrive.
