I’ve noticed something: The more productive and focused I am, the more new songs I add to my Spotify playlists. Usually with a slight delay, noticed over weeks. Stressed = no new music added Can someone explain this, or relate to it?

The job market seems heated? At Voi we’re seeing 4–5k applications/month, 3x vs last year. 40k applied in the past year, ~500 hired, just 1,2%. Faster than ever (25 days to hire), but harder than ever to break through. More talent, fewer seats and the bar is rising.

startup metrics 101 take the best minute your company ever had extrapolate it across every user you might ever get multiply by all the minutes in a year boom, that’s your ARR

VCs fear public financials, but there's a flip side: transparency builds credibility with the public and cities. Standardized reports > "vibed" startup metrics.

Robots vs bikes I let a robot drive me this week. Waymo. Incredible, a bit scary. Transportation is mainly around cost, time and user experience. Here is how it stacks up against driven ride-hailing and micro mobility, which would have been my alternatives. Cost: priced

SaaS is expensive. Even worse, it rarely gives companies the customization they actually need. The way most companies solve this gap today is by adding people. Human repetitive workflows grow around the SaaS tools, creating hidden costs that are far larger than the license fees
