Multicultural Week is going really well with our visits out into the community and activities back in school. The children attending our club this morning have also learned about traditional English Maypole dancing -making the Barber's Pole, well done!

Worship Group unveil their newest display: Moses and the Burning Bush as this story shows the Christian Values of REVERENCE and RESPECT in action. God invites us to be still, like Moses, and spend time in his presence so we can learn more about the plan he has for our lives.

Worship Group led today's 'Candlemas Service' Holy Trinity Church Candlemas is a lovely celebration of Jesus being presented at the temple as a baby as a fulfilment of God's promise to Simeon that he would see the Messiah and to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world! 🕯🌎

In Worship4U today Holy Trinity Church Sunday Club sang `Welcome Everybody` setting the scene for our family service before acting out the story of Candlemas. We celebrated Jesus as the light of the world and Year 4 read their beautiful prayers - great job everyone!

Our Ash Wednesday Service Holy Trinity Church was wonderful this morning and made us think of what we could 'take on' as well as 'give up' in this period of Lent. Worship Group decided to 'take up' the challenge of organising a 'WWYW Day' this Friday in aid of the DEC.

This morning at Maypole & Country Dancing Club we took on our very own Lenten Challenge - making the plait! Thankfully, we did it however undoing it proved more of a challenge, more practice needed next week!

Worship Group want to say THANK YOU as you have raised an amazing £370 which has gone directly to the DEC for Turkey & Syria.

Congratulations to the Year 3/4 Dodgeball Team for winning the Dodgeball Festival at Carr Hill PE Carr Hill School this afternoon. Excellent work, manners and behaviour 🤩making Mrs Leaper and the whole school proud of you all!

Fabulous day with Sean Perkins. The children really enjoyed being inspired to write their own poetry!

The Lower Junior football team represented our school superbly at today's tournament at AKS, showing incredible football and teamwork skills. It was unlucky to lose in the semi-finals on penalties after going through the whole tournament without losing a game or conceding a goal!

This week we set up a new prayer wall in school to coincide with the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education Year of Prayer & our own new school prayer which we launched this term. It is lovely to see so many children making good use of this area and praying not only for their families but for the wider world.
