This only reinforces the trend that Africa Corps will likely become increasingly involved in combat duties in Mali, with all the risks that entails for Russia.

#UAE, a key supporter of #Sudan’s RSF has not ruled out operating from northeastern #CAR. For now, Abu Dhabi is cautiously laying the groundwork by building what is officially presented as a health centre in Birao. africaintelligence.com/central-africa…

🇳🇬🇬🇶🇷🇺 | Besides the new deliveries to Mali, one russian sanctionned ship (Siyanie Severa, under OFAC sanctions) went to Equatrorial Guinea and is now off Nigerian coast near Lagos. There's high chances that this ship delivered military equipement to Guinea and/or Nigeria.

Wagner press service would have announced Wagner is leaving Mali - seems like our info was not too bad ;) t.me/readovkanews/9…

Looks like the end of Wagner's mission in Mali. The Central African Republic (CAR) remains the last hold out of Wagner's legacy structure. In CAR, legacy Wagner has more leverage and there is pushback and lobbying against an Africa Corps (MoD) takeover

Now that Wagner officially left Mali, their last stronghold is Centrafrican Republic 🇨🇫 I would not be surprised to see new arrivals in a near future there aswell. As for Africa Corps, they have spent months of intense recruitment, looking for specialists (drone, BTR

From a Wagner source: "the Malian military were mostly against this, or at least the military guys we interact with." I think it's fair to say here that most of the push came from the Russian MoD

Iván López (@fpanalisis) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Just to emphasize, this does not mean a withdrawal of Russian support, quite the opposite, in fact. We will see a push in assistance through the Africa Corps: more military equipment, more troops, at a critical moment in the Sahel, where jihadist movements are on the rise.

From Wagner's military commander in CAR: "We have leverage and arguments to stay here, and I am not the only one to think that, the government of the Central African Republic is of the same opinion. That is why we remain. And our structure continues to work in the same rhythm"

#Mali🇲🇱 - Visual confirmation that the Africa Corps in Mali is also using its own Mi-24 attack helicopters from the Russian🇷🇺 Ministry of Defence. At least one of the Mi-24s has the familiar ‘Z’ painted on the side. Videos in the post below.
