Kinda unhinged thought I had lately, what if Chocobos in the FF games weren't cute and cuddly, but more like actual birds, just absolutely deranged. Like a chicken or seagull? Imagine keeping watch on small children so they don't get gobbled up by an absolute menace like this...

Japan is crazy

As an American abroad, I expect us to be generally obnoxious or in the way but so far in Japan the only two times this has happened is with Brits or other Europeans. Still another week+ left to see about people being idiots, myself included, but not what I expected so far.

It's our last night in Osaka and we stopped in at a bar we'd been to a couple times, but it was "closed" for a group from Thailand. The owner and group still let us in for drinks but turns out one guy works for the Thai FBI. I have him on Whatsapp now and idk how to feel about it

One of the elevators at this hotel in Shinjuku sounds very similar, but slightly offbeat to the flute section from Van McCoy's - Do the Hustle. It's weird to bop out to that tune in my head walking around.

Idk what it is about Japan but I am constantly ripping loud ass burps after drinking anything carbonated. Doesn't help that I consume a beer every 4 hours on average but ya know, vacation and whatnot.

Tonight we went to a "sports bar" with baseball in the background, uncommon in Japan. My buddy, who doesn't watch much baseball goes "NaNi" after a pitch. Then, the bartender, without missing a beat, drops a "Omae Wa Mou Shinderu" calling out his weeb ass and it was amazing.

Found this doozy in Japan and didn't even realize it was sealed. Feels bad to open it up but gotta enjoy it regardless.

The European mind cannot comprehend this

Caved and bought Animal Well today. Doing my usual booting up the game, checking settings to possibly stream later, but lo and behold, you can choose what type of buttons are displayed in the settings! Small detail but would love if more devs were able to do this.

My girlfriend literally says "serve c***" to me like clockwork when talking to me about her going out with her friends, so if this meme is what gets her interested in Final Fantasy, then so be it.

Finally running full Any% runs again prepping for the FF Relay in a month and was finally able to get a sub9! Took long enough considering my last PB doesn't have a skip that saves 10+ minutes, but feels good to be at it again.

3rd year, 3rd team #Trifecta Happy to be with my boy Zic this year and hopefully we can take home the W. Also running FFX with cutscenes at 3am again is just the cherry on top.
