My education ruined my capacity to enjoy modern pop literature (probably for the best) because I cannot stomach first person present tense fiction with very few exceptions. If you're going to do first person, at least do past tense, please.

I get that theological triage is a legitimate concept but it’s really exhausting how it’s been turned into “don’t have strong opinions on doctrine or disagree with other people.”

Normally an Augustine fan, but I prefer the argument there is a biblical distinction between benevolent deception and sinful lying.

If the fruit of inspiration is flawed or insufficient in its final form, then God-breathed out a ticking time bomb of lies in the original manuscripts and is essentially the Demiurge. That is not the case, ergo, we can fully trust scripture in all things.

There shouldn’t be backlash against Jordan Peterson because of his recent articulation of his view of God. Other than a change in demeanor, this is who he has always been. He hasn’t changed. Egg is on your face, not his, if you fooled yourself into thinking otherwise.

I regret to inform the chat that I made a mistake while shaving and the beard had to go. Not unlike my hair a month ago. It’s been a rough month for my hair.
