If you're going to be in or around the National Park this weekend, please 🚮 Take your litter home and NO fires or BBQ 🐕 Keep dogs on a lead to keep lambs and ground nesting birds safe 🤝 Respect the life and work of people living here and have a great time 📸 Wendy McDonnell

It's the 60th Birthday of The Pennine Way & what better way to celebrate the creation of the first National Trail than by walking a section of it, which we did! We walked a section that is blissfully flat unlike the mighty Pennines that wait further into the trail.

Blea Moor Tunnel between Ribblehead and Dent Head viaduct took more than 4 years to complete and passes 500ft below the moor. 7 shafts were sunk to support its construction, 3 of these can still be seen and are used for ventilation. #TuesdayThoughts #YorkshireDales
