We mourn with the family of Ilan Weiss, a Hungarian–Israeli citizen, and extend our sincere condolences. Hungary continues to demand that Hamas immediately and unconditionally release all hostages still alive, including a Hungarian citizen.

Today at the EU foreign minister’s meeting we will face a pro-war tsunami. More money & weapons for Ukraine, forced EU accession, launching a military operation…huge pressure to abandon our pro-peace stance. We will not back any decision against our interests or delaying peace.

At today’s EU foreign ministers’ meeting in Copenhagen it became clear that Brussels and most member states are preparing for a long war, not peace. They want to send tens of billions of euros to Ukraine for soldiers’ salaries, drones, weapons, and the operation of the Ukrainian

Just landed in Beijing. Tomorrow I will meet FM Wang Yi & major Chinese companies to boost economic cooperation & bring new investments to Hungary. For us the priority is East–West cooperation, not sliding back into bloc confrontation. Will also attend China’s Victory Day parade.

Global tensions are pushing the world back toward bloc confrontation. This is against our interests. We benefit from East–West cooperation, which turned Hungary into an economic hub over the past decade. We stand for global cooperation built on mutual respect.

🇭🇺🇨🇳 economic cooperation is a success story. Last year 31% of Chinese investments in Europe came to Hungary. Today in Beijing I met leaders of Wanhua, employing 4,000 in Hungary; Chevron, with its only plant outside China in Miskolc, and Xiaomi launching its Hungarian webshop.

Glad to meet my friend FM Wang Yi in Beijing. Hungarian–Chinese relations are at record highs: Chinese companies are Hungary’s top investors, trade and tourism keep growing, and most importantly, we stand together in the peace camp. Committed to deepening our cooperation further.

Brussels is wrong to label China a “systemic rival” of the EU. Cooperation with China offers major benefits and opportunities for Europe. The fact is: Western European and Chinese companies are driving each other’s success. For Hungary, the two most important partners outside

Met Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council. We reviewed the Middle East security situation and noted with regret strong anti-Israel sentiment in Western Europe, reflected in Brussels’ proposals. We reject these and work to strengthen our strategic alliance with Israel.

While Western European politicians use lecturing, threats and sanctions towards countries of the Western Balkans, Hungary respects their sovereignty and democratically elected leaders. I reaffirmed this today to Милорад Додик, President of Republika Srpska.

Today Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський met António Costa and of course, as usual, made remarks about Hungary. He said it’s “odd” that Hungary rejects Ukraine’s EU membership, since even Russia doesn’t oppose it. Once again, Zelensky judges by his own standards. Unlike Zelensky, Hungary’s position

I had my first call with Romania’s new Energy Minister, Ivan Bogdan-Gruia. Hungary and Romania have always cooperated closely in the field of energy. Romania is a key partner in ensuring our supply, and we agreed that our two countries can support one another in guaranteeing
