healthy confidence comes from the belief that no matter what happens, you'll be okay as in, you can lose everything and know that your heart is still beating, you can experience the beauty of the world, you still have access to love, and so on but a lot of our limiting beliefs

You require the courage to be yourself when who you are is rejected more often than it is welcomed.

The Circles of Control

This is all nothing. According to some people.

I said to my homies while asking them to listen my song: you're telling me somebody who comes by music and goes through what they find won't be impressed? And this homie said this why we don't gass you cause when you get on you're gonna have an ego. 😂😩 I'm gonna be insufferable

You'd only be diving into shallow water and maybe shatter a tooth for your effort.

I had the realization that I should just upload my songs directly onto YouTube as MP4 videos while hanging with the bois and they couldn't find the songs they liked cause distrokid had taken them down. I won't be getting streaming royalties for it but those are a pittance anyway.

One thing I'm sure I've learned in this life is that you shouldn't expect to be loved by everybody. The harsher lesson is learning not to expect love even from the people who you should know to expect it from.

Love is a verb. It's not something you say to a person when you get a certain feeling but the actions you take to nurture and care for the object of your supposed affection. Of all the things that require proof, love is the one whose evidence is most needed.

I ached to scream out in pain but instead I contorted my feelings into words and poetry spilled from me.

Art is the means by which I show the scars from the wounds which I have healed. At times not even fully. But better to hobble over the finish line than to not cross it at all.
