Before your child turns six, one habit will leave a mark deeper than any lesson: whether they grow up watching you read. It matters more than choosing a school or signing them up for activities. Children don’t learn to read through debates over phonics versus whole language.

Mastering real skills outshines fake credentials. A teenager who rebuilds an engine impresses admissions more than a stint as student council treasurer. Universities recognize genuine ability. You should, too.

K-12 schools train immaturity, not success. We hand out textbooks instead of real newspapers and worksheets instead of real business challenges. No wonder graduates struggle in the adult world. Stop treating 16-year-olds like six-year-olds.
