By enabling high-speed, low-latency and affordable Internet globally, Starlink will do more to educate and lift people out of poverty than any NGO ever

Your ideology is more important than the very people you claim to serve, Starlink will give greater and cheaper access in a country with the most expensive data prices. I’m glad that Starlink is coming, we should make it happen faster. I support it wholeheartedly.

In 2011 as MD of Microsoft SA I signed one of the first Equity Equivalent deals in the ICT sector worth about R500m. The Equity Equivalent deal paved the way for more than R25 billion Microsoft has invested in SA under the leadership of Lillian Barnard. #FDI #DigitalSkills

I was once part of a transaction where a large European group divested from SA. The owner was blunt - he didn't like SA's 'funny' laws (not only BEE, also exchange controls which they saw as draconian). They took SA proceeds and put in investment friendly Asian country.

[WATCH] Wits School of Governance's Prof. William Gumede says the BEE model has to be changed as it has benefitted few people, most of which are connected individuals. #Newzroom405

📈 Agricultural exports have increased by 10% in the first quarter of this year compared to last year. This is US$3,35 billion more into our economy, a testament to the unwavering dedication of SA farmers and the sector. This is a welcome win for economic growth and jobs.

Helen Zille Leave the GNU. Go back to opposition benches. Call a motion of no confidence in this govt. Collapse it. Have a snap election and maybe after that SA can have a truly functional coalition not this current arrangement where the ANC behaves like it has an outright majority.

The President’s lack of action against Min Nkabane has left a bad taste in the mouths of many South Africans. His party’s fate depends on how he handles Min Mchunu this Sunday. People are tired of lies & corruption. They expect a strong ethical tone from the top. #ProudlySA

The majority of South Africans are Christians who subscribe to capitalism that has a social conscience. The 2026 local government elections will prove that communism occupies no place in SA’s heart. Its local proponents practice capitalism in their daily lives. #ProudlySA #SACP

As SA stares into the abyss on the back of an illusionary SA-US trade deal, I often wonder about the notion of virtue in suffering. I just don’t any positive in the current situation. All I see is a lot of pain and crushed dreams. Cry the beloved country. #ProudlySA
