Floating mats of filamentous algae (Hydrodictyon common name Water Net) have been reported in several of the bays at Fleet Pond. The bloom is likely to be the result of sunlight, high water temperature and high nutrient levels. It will die back when the temperature drops.

The Friday volunteer team did a fantastic fencing job along the path near Wellington Avenue. Not an easy task due to number of trees and their roots. Ace planning and task management by Terry D and great teamwork ensured success. Well done team! #fleetponds #hartgreenspaces

This week, one team of volunteers cut back rampant vegetation encroaching onto paths. The other team installed dog steps by the bridge over Brookly Stream (quality control checked by Ruby 🐕🐾🐾)
