6:25PM: Looking big picture, we have two main areas of storms to watch. First area is from near Monroe, WI down to Southern Whiteside County, where wind gusts of 50-60 mph can be found. Flash flooding is imminent or ongoing in Southern Lee/DeKalb Counties.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Northern Winnebago and Boone Counties until 9:30PM. As of 6:50PM, thunderstorms have already produced between 1-1.5" of rain across parts of the warned area, with another 1-2.5" possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected shortly.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for Southern portions of Lee and DeKalb Counties until 7:45PM. This storm is capable of producing 60 mph winds and very heavy rain in an area already experiencing flash flooding. Storm is moving East at 45 mph.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Southern Rock County in Wisconsin until 10:15PM. As of 7:15PM, between 1.5-2.5" of rain has already fallen, with another 1" of rain possible in the warned area.

As of 7:15PM, nearly 5” of rain has come down between highways 251 and 23 near and around Paw Paw. SIGNIFICANT flash flooding is possible within this warning, so please heed any road closures and do not drive through flooded roadways!

8:00PM: We have two main areas of concern for flash flooding Monday evening. The first along the state line North and NE of Rockford, where between 1-3" of rain has fallen. The second is across Lee and Southern DeKalb Counties, where between 3-6" of rain has fallen in some spots.

Tomorrow will be much quieter and calmer. Afternoon high temperatures will still reach the low/mid 80s, but we will not see nearly as much humidity. A few isolated showers are possible through mid-day, but the bulk of the day will be dry.

A few showers may continue to linger across the area through about 12-1AM but will not be strong enough to cause flooding concerns. Temperatures overnight don't drop much further than where they are now, with a chance for some patches of fog toward daybreak.

An overnight cold front will bring a few widely scattered to isolated showers between 1-7AM Saturday morning. Anyone who sees rain will likely only get 0.1" or less. The added cloud cover will keep lows tonight in the mid-60s.

Sunday will be noticeably cooler than Saturday was, with afternoon highs only in the low 70s. It will be breezy again with NW gusts near 20-25 mph. A few isolated showers may also develop during the afternoon and early evening.

A few very isolated showers are developing across Southern Wisconsin late this afternoon. A few of those may drift into parts of the Stateline through sunset, mainly North and East of Rockford. The rest of the night features only a few passing clouds with lows in the upper 40s!

The pleasant, fall-like pattern will continue over the next several days, but temperatures will slowly climb back toward average by the end of the week. A few isolated sprinkles may be possible Monday and Tuesday, but higher chances for rain arrive along a cold front Thursday.
