When your writing is so bad it leads to one of your cast members having an existential crisis.

The writing in BSG was all over the place, the plot was pulled out of the writer's asses as they went along (particularly in relation to Kara "Starbuck" Thrace) and it didn't "break" her. There's something at the heart of the Filoni-Favreau project, and it is emptiness.
