Castleford’s new community defibrillators thefirstaidguy.co.uk/2022/01/31/cas… It's great to see my local community getting together to provide lifesaving equipment for all to use - for my part, I will be providing free awareness and training sessions for anyone interested.

First aid is as much about mental health as it is trauma. Enjoying the view at the end of a long walk, loosing yourself in the beauty of nature - a treatment I'd recommend. Great to see my "merch" getting out and about and used to great effect. Thanks Mark Richards for sharing.

Not a bad way to spend a bank holiday Monday - answered a late call for help from a colleague to provide Event Medic cover ar a cricket tournament in York. Lovely setting....beautiful day.....here's hoping for a quiet day.

Despite the rain, folk are starting to gather at Queens Park for the Jubliee Concert. Am happy to provide the event medical cover today to support the amazing work that Friends of Queens Park are doing bringing life to this oasis in our community.

Whether I'm doing mock inspections or delivering First Aid training, sometimes I find myself in a location where I can't help but just take a step back and soak up the tranquility....... this morning's location makes work a pleasure.

Really enjoyed my day with some of the folk from Making Space in Darlington on the Emergency First Aid at Work course....... they really got into it and were a pleasure to teach - looking forward to coming back in November and December or another few groups.

Really excited to be presenting with Birdie and The Homecare Association today, talking about navigating the new regulatory and inspection processes. Really interesting hearing about providers concerns, thoughts and anxieties around this and how big an impact it has on services.

Having a change from the governance, compliance and inspection work today......providing medic cover for a photo shoot in the beautiful (but cold and wet) Heaton Park....... love watching the process of these shoots.

Great to see another Public Access Defibrillator added to the growing number across my wee town - my Castleford HeartStart campaign has been more successful than I could have imagined

Love seeing Castleford folk come along and learn these essential lifesaving skills - love teaching this to genuinely interested folk. Tonight there were folk from 13yr old to, erm....a lot older than 13yrs...! Delivering these sessions to my local community is such an honour.
