A big thank you to Lead Fire Practitioner Pete Townsend for carrying out a Cultural Burn at the Wellington Town Common on his traditional Country. By strategically burning the weeds, he's creating space for native vegetation to re-establish itself. 🌳

After nearly three years of careful planning with Elders and community, the Kaurna Fire Team successfully completed the first Cultural Burn on Yarta Bulti, Torrens Island. This place holds immense cultural significance, and returning fire to the land was an act of healing.

Bringing fire back to Noongar Boodja, WA. 🔥 Together and under the guidance of their Elders, we brought the right fire back to Country, a first since the old people managed land with fire.
