13 years ago I attended my first palaeo talk at Hong Kong Science Museum when I was a secondary school student. Yesterday I gave a talk in the same lecture hall as a palaeontologist. Very honoured to be invited and I have to thank so many people throughout this journey.

Happy to share that I am joining the Smithsonian Smithsonian NMNH as a postdoctoral fellow soon. Can’t wait to greet the Nation’s T. rex and look at the vast natural history collection!

The year started with our description of a little dinosaur baby inside its egg, fossilized right before it was due to hatch. Its head tucked beneath its wing, just like a bird. Great work by Fion Ma, leading a team w/ Lida XING @darlaz_dinos etc.

⚠️New pterosaur paper alert! ⚠️ In a taxonomic revision of the tapejarids from the Jiufotang Formation (including 6 new specimens!), we conclude that only 2 species (out of 7 proposed ones) are valid: Sinopterus dongi and Huaxiadraco corollatus (new genus)! 1/7
