Today's decision emanating from Southwark Crown Court is an outrage . It is an attack on our civil liberties , we must defend our right to peaceful protest . @AttorneyGeneral , please meet with us urgently . This grotesque miscarriage of justice must be fixed . #WholeTruthFive

The longest sentence handed down to a violent racist rioter this week is shorter than the sentences imposed on entirely peaceful environmental protesters last month. Labour must repeal the Tory laws that treat peaceful protest more severely than violent disorder and assault.

Collecting information on closed museums has proved to be an investigative challenge. I've written about our lines of enquiry in the new blog for Mapping Museums Lab mapping-museums.bbk.ac.uk/blog/

I'm visiting museums in the very far north. Today Pyramiden, a deserted Russian mining town in Svalbard, now open to visitors. instagram.com/fionacandlin/

Calling museum geeks. We've googled, telephoned, checked archives, newspaper reports, and spoken to specialists, but after a year of collecting data on closed museums in the UK we're officially stuck on some venues. Can you help? Have a look at our list: bit.ly/40rmJuV
