we have focused so hard on making the digital world so robust that we've neglected physical experience. real world experiential moments that have arisen are ticketed, gatekept, viral.

with checkpoint, we ask if we can provide the feeling of instant and free that the digital world has perfected, but in physical spaces. two years ago, we started building small photo boxes. with the push of a button, you can instantly get an analog photo of yourself for free.

we went to the container store to buy a box. a couple weeks later we had our first prototype. we set up the box at our favorite museum. soon after we had a line forming to take a free photo using our box. we were amazed.

over the years we've had the opportunity to take checkpoint to dozens of fascinating spaces. right now, we're trying to establish a more established network across cities.
