The omicron rise has begun here in Yorkshire. How high it goes depends on people getting tested, isolating and all of us reducing contacts. On a personal level boosters are the most important weapon.

Staff in our GP practices are doing an incredible job and working above and beyond to help patients get the care that's needed in circumstances which remain challenging. We know it's not always easy to get through – a lot of people are requesting appointments.

Please look at this evidence and share with anyone who is still unsure about vaccination.
