Negative lineup leads to negative performance, who would have thought it That lineup and first half (which set the tone) was completely on Silva Second half marginally better thanks to King (who should have started) but still ridiculously soft at the back

He lost me yesterday First half had a chance to pull the trigger or slip in a teammate and goes sideways 60 mins in an easy pass to slip in Chukwueze and somehow finds an Everton shirt Being completely invisible in the final third for all of his 48 appearances isn’t acceptable

Fantastic dominant performance and it did feel like we would break through eventually. If we could defend half as well away from home as we do at the Cottage then we’d be laughing Surprised at how poor Sunderland were, definitely the worst team to come to us this season

So true! We just can’t revert to the more defensive midfield vs Spurs (although I fully understand doing it vs City). Iwobi and Berge were miles better today, as they were against Wolves too

Presume the lack of clappers is down to the atmosphere survey and the first real sign of short / long term changes taking place to boost it…happy days, strong start!

Hilarious watch especially with how we scored our goals Defended so well bar a 10/15 min spell at the start of the second half and managed the game quite comfortably

Silva got it spot on with our starting midfield today and then made the perfect changes (notably Lukic and ESR) to nullify any Spurs momentum
