Two years ago, I had just 3,000 YouTube subscribers, creating niche reverse engineering + assembly programming content. I thought most people wouldn't be interested. Last night, I just passed 200,000 subscribers. People assume it’s a large production. It’s actually just me,

The trumpet saved Louis Bannet, aka the "Dutch Louis Armstrong," while he was imprisoned at Auschwitz. A Dutch prisoner recognized the musician, and he was able to audition for the camp's orchestra. Playing there would save his life. Thread ⬇️

Another reminder of the war in the Far East for VE Day 80: When we were first given this battered old Officer’s cap it was covered in cobwebs and dust, with several holes in the fabric, and, at first glance, looked like something that had been used for amateur theatre. 1/

Anyone out there hosting a Matrix to Libera chat bridge for OSS projects? We'd like to reconnect our channels, but there's no official bridge anymore and we don't have the time or resources to host our own. We're a well-behaved lot, I promise! ✋

James Cleverly🇬🇧 Jury decision. He pleaded not guilty and then prosecution weren't able to persuade the jury otherwise. That's the English law system in action.

Juries are randomly selected members of the public. Men and women from all walks of life and all political backgrounds. Only a moron of irredeemable proportions would even think of suggesting that a jury verdict represents some deep state “two-tier justice”.

Chris Philp MP This is one of the most embarrassing things ever committed to text by a politician. Perhaps instead of spreading far-right talking points in your desperate grope for relevance, you could acquaint yourself with the difference between a guilty plea and an acquittal by a jury.

Jacob Rees-Mogg (@jacob_rees_mogg) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This is self-evidently not an example of two-tier justice as this Councillor was cleared by a jury. Lucy Connolly offered a guilty plea so did not have a jury trial, although she probably could have done had she pleaded not guilty. mol.im/a/15003423

lp0 is a Linux error code that means “printer on fire.” It’s not a joke. In the 50s, computerized printing was an experimental field. At LLNL (yes, the nuclear testing site), cathode ray tubes created a xerographic printer. ...it would occasionally catch fire.
