#AltRtEd #EdTech I teach art. Used technology for reference materials about ancient Egyptian artifacts hieroglyphics; watched YouTube instructional videos on shading, drawing faces. Students will use technology for typography.
#AltRtEd #EdTechQ3: Q3: Colleagues - F2F, email, telephone. We share lesson ideas, plans, compare where we are in the curriculum = Great to share! Email add another layer of places to check for information that cannot always be accessed as quickly as expected by the sender.
#AltRtEd #EdTechQ2: Barriers are distractions while researching - they can get lost in the web. We will try to use focused search words. The barriers for designing typography are limited by the program and also the teacher’s knowledge of MSWord.
#AltRtEd #EdTechQ4: At present, only means of communicating with parents is in person or on the phone. There is a program called “Remind” that I intend to learn how to use that is available at my school. It would be nice to make an “Art show” blog to share with parents/students
#altrted #growthmindset A2 Positive mindsets greatly influence attitudes toward learning. If not implied that a student cannot achieve goals and the student is encouraged to believe that they are intelligent, they learn more than would have been expected if nothing was expected.
#altrted #growthmindset A4 Some misdiagnosed characteristics could come from those who work slower than others but still complete the task well. They could be putting more thought into the project.
#altrted #growthmindset A5 It is interesting to know that how you present success can lead to success. No experience is needed means that perfection is not required. Learning is required!
#altrted #growthmindset A6 My practice is that there is no one answer to an assignmen. I teach art so there is a lot of interpretation. Learning is the goal.
#altrted #growthmindset A7 I could guide more with individual goal setting to help ALL achieve their personal best / make sure they know I expect their best efforts, and that mistakes are allowed.
A1: My biggest challenge is making time within a one day a week class to help all students INCLUDING the learning disabled student without sacrificing any one students right to instruction. #AltRtEd #SpEd
