Attending #SAPHNA24 Conference today, Prof Jamie Waterall RN is absolutely right, school nurses are part of the solution to many of the problems we currently face. But the profession needs more support, starting with an increased number of school nurses in the country.

We must offer #vaccines & information where people are. If children are in school, we have to deliver vaccines in schools #SAPHNA24 showing that there was a 94% drop in GP consultations of children with flu-like illnesses where kids were vaccinated at school, it's amazing.

Great presentation about flu vaccines for children at #SAPHNA24 Parents indeed ask us to avoid pushing for immediate decisions & give them time to make an informed choice about their children's health. We must support parents, so our children are protected from certain diseases

Data shows that % of #flu #vaccine uptake is still below optimum for pretty much all groups. This is very concerning, particularly when numbers of people admitted to hospital due to flu is sky high.
