I've always been a huge fan of British Society for Immunology work, but this video explaining how #vaccines work is truly special. Measles vaccine prevented 20million cases from happening in the UK, this number shows the importance of vaccines The more #VaccineConversations we have, the better!

This infuriates me JCVI advice could be different. Research shows annual Covid-19 shots would save the NHS nearly Ā£4bn/ year & prevent more than 5,000 deaths. Yet, they chose to offer to it a small poll of people and make the rest go private. Oh boy. theguardian.com/world/2024/apr…

Attending #SAPHNA24 Conference today, Prof Jamie Waterall RN is absolutely right, school nurses are part of the solution to many of the problems we currently face. But the profession needs more support, starting with an increased number of school nurses in the country.

We must offer #vaccines & information where people are. If children are in school, we have to deliver vaccines in schools #SAPHNA24 showing that there was a 94% drop in GP consultations of children with flu-like illnesses where kids were vaccinated at school, it's amazing.

Great presentation about flu vaccines for children at #SAPHNA24 Parents indeed ask us to avoid pushing for immediate decisions & give them time to make an informed choice about their children's health. We must support parents, so our children are protected from certain diseases

Data shows that % of #flu #vaccine uptake is still below optimum for pretty much all groups. This is very concerning, particularly when numbers of people admitted to hospital due to flu is sky high.
