Losing Jake LaRavia definitely stings for Sacramento. Seemed like he enjoyed his time here and playing for Doug Christie. The Kings' need for a backup forward grows. Trey Lyles is also a free agent.

Two thoughts on the Jonas Valanciunas trade: 1. Sacramento is creating cap flexibility for something... but what? 2. This speaks to how high they must be on Maxime Raynaud, unless a backup big is on the way. What is Scott Perry cooking?

One thing about Dennis Schroder is that he’s been available night in and night out during his career. He’s appeared in 60+ games in 11 of his 12 NBA seasons, including 75+ in 6 seasons. On-court results matter most, but the Kings appear to have found stability at PG.

The Sacramento Kings have remained open still to a sign-and-trade of Malik Monk to Detroit. They still have a few days to complete that. Meanwhile, the Kings are very engaged on the Jonathan Kuminga front in a deal which, I'm told, likely wouldn't involve Monk. ABC10

Jonathan Kuminga comes with risk, but IMO, he fits the bill of the type of player Sacramento should be taking a chance on. Only 22. Athletic. 6’8 forward. The shot needs work, and I wonder what a potential contract would look like, but a swing worth taking for the Kings.

Kings GM Scott Perry confirms both Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud will play in Las Vegas Summer League.

Maxime Raynuad says that he crossed paths with Nique Clifford during the pre-draft process and that the two had a 45-minute conversation following a workout. Now, the two are teammates in Sacramento.
