Many people try to fight their battles with the wrong equipment, trying to defeat sin on their own. The reality is that God's equipment is all we need to defeat anything in life. God's Word, His righteousness, His peace, and His salvation are all we need to win.

God has given each of us a purpose. In Matthew 22:36-40, Jesus says the greatest commandment is to love God with all that we are and to love others. In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus says we are to go out and make disciples of all nations! Love God. Love people. Make Disciples.

We believe bc we know what God CAN do. Sometimes we just have to allow Him to do it. What we see are the fruits of the spirit: “love joy peace kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness self-control” (Gal 5:22-23).

Whatever the timing or form of God’s mercy, we never rise above the status of beneficiaries of mercy. We are always utterly dependent on what we do not deserve. Therefore let us humble ourselves and rejoice and “glorify God for his mercy!”

Think of God as a worker in your life. The Bible wants us first to be amazed that God is a worker in our lives: “From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who works for those who wait for him” (Isaiah 64:4). God is working for us.
