Don't #StopTheBoats of refugees and asylum seekers escaping wars merely to try and stay alive. Everybody should have the right to this human dignity. Stop the boats of enormous cruise ships emitting significant amounts of carbon dioxide damaging the planet. #HaltCruisePollution

Manuela Bedoya y Luna Barreto son las dos colombianas que iban en la flotilla. Los genocidas las tienen retenidas en contra de su voluntad. Todos nuestros ojos en ellas, en su integridad y su libertad.

I grew up near Heaton Park, in my teen years had a lot of ties to the Jewish community there. My thoughts go to them. Cheetham Hill is also a very Muslim area. The two communities have co-existed well for three or four generations. Please don't let racists profit from tragedy.

Yes, the Home Secretary really did just say we need to hold off protesting against the British government's continuing complicity in Israel's daily slaughter in Gaza out of respect for Jews grieving over the Manchester synagogue attack.

More weaponisation. Why can’t people in positions of responsibility just relay messages of sorrow, unity & peace rather than disgrace themselves by manipulating these awful circumstances to silence people opposed to a genocide. It’s not defending, it’s using Jewish communities.

I've been feeling sad for much of the day thinking about death and all the lovely people we've lost in the last few months. In Manchán Magan's memory, I have bought a copy of the updated Thirty-Two Words for Field, and I'm sending another to my nephews in England. Wouldn't it be

Insane statement. What do you want people to reflect on, that genocide is Good, Actually? The world doesn't stop because of a tragedy, and especially not when a far larger one continues to unfold. You guys are literally responsible for killing half the victims!

No one in power respects my grief. And no one is coming to console me: Members of the Jewish community have been grieving for three days now over the killing of two innocent people in last week’s attack on a Manchester synagogue. Politicians and the media keep telling us how

First time ever wrote an academic essay and had the self-discipline to embed the references as I go along, instead of later having the fun of working out where scribbled notes came from. Felt so good, so neurotypical. Then I didnt save the Word doc properly. Why am I MEeee?

They are worried! I don't think anyone was under the illusion he's a window cleaner, like. What is this reverse obsession with cosplaying (mostly) working class origins as the only way to demonstrate a willingness to serve the majority?

Apart from the vile digs at students protesting a genocide and an apartheid state, when did it become such a standard thing for politicians to do 'pieces' in the newspaper? Doesn't it totally blur the idea of what the press is for, which is (I thought) to hold THEM to question.🐍

Gaza is not a warzone; it is a laboratory of cruelty and oppression, a testing ground for the latest in Israeli surveillance, crowd control, and military technology - exported, marketed, and sold by British and American firms for profit.
