Day 1 of our annual Summer Research Skills Workshop ADHUS & FAU HS is in the books! Students from gr. 8-12 used a balance to weigh chemicals, made & diluted solutions, pipetted tiny volumes of liquid, & practiced creating scientific graphics. Day 2 - we head out for field research!

Day 2 of the @adhus_fauhs Summer Research Skills Workshop connected field and lab research, starting with a trip to Wahoo Bay. Students collected data via drone, ROV, point sampling, and observation. Back in the lab, water samples were filtered for FTIR analysis.

Day 3 of the ADHUS & FAU HS Summer Research Skills Workshop was for drones and dissection. Students flight planned their drone path for hyperspectral data collection. After analyzing their data, we switched gears to practice brain dissection and electrophysiology basics. FAU Brain Institute
