I went back and looked at the last decade of where the lowest ranked P4/P5 1-loss team finished the regular season and here are the results: 2025: BYU (11 Projection) 2024: Indiana (8) 2023: Alabama (8) 2022: Ohio State (4) 2021: Notre Dame (5) 2020: NA (Covid) 2019: Baylor (7)

Playoffs scenario is very simple. Regardless of what happens in championship games the final 2 teams in the playoffs should be BYU and Alabama. If BYU wins Big 12 put Texas Tech in there. Thats it. End of story. Anything else is wrong and an injustice
