#OTD in 1966, the RN buried an Enfield No4 with military honors at Bisley to mark the end of the venerable rifle's service. A piper played a lament while cartridges were scattered over the white ensign-draped coffin. The passing of the No. 4 due to it being replaced by the SLR.
