It was a real pleasure to speak to the Public Bill Committee on the Employment Rights Bill today. The Bill constitutes a vital rebalancing measure in the UK labour market, which I hope will attract a measure of political and tripartite consensus as the process develops.

Glad to see my report with David Kenny for Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission on collective bargaining and the Irish Constitution is generating some scholarly debate! I will return to this topic to address the criticisms of the report in the near future.

Join us in Southampton for this great (hybrid) workshop on the Employment Rights Bill convened by Joe Atkinson/Alan Eustace on 29 Jan. I will attempt some comparative reflections on the Bill and recent EU labour laws as 'counter-movements' to authoritarian neo-liberalism.
