Delighted to say that next semester I’ll be a Visiting Scholar at Campion Hall, Oxford Campion Hall, researching the classical natural law/Christian democratic roots of the European Convention on Human Rights.

It was a real pleasure to speak to the Public Bill Committee on the Employment Rights Bill today. The Bill constitutes a vital rebalancing measure in the UK labour market, which I hope will attract a measure of political and tripartite consensus as the process develops.

Very happy to say that Prof Gerry Whyte and I are nearly finished the 3rd ed. of Social Inclusion and the Law. Lovely to see the draft cover. Musings on natural law, the Irish constitution, catholic social teaching, communitarianism coming your way this New Year!

Glad to see my report with David Kenny for Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission on collective bargaining and the Irish Constitution is generating some scholarly debate! I will return to this topic to address the criticisms of the report in the near future.
