“AI is not bad—it is a tool, and like all tools we must find a way to make sure it is used for good.” — H.E. Orla Tunney, Ambassador. This was one of many key takeaways from the Embassy’s recent collaboration with the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)

Through a special lecture on AI, its regulation + governance, Prof Dr Colin Scott of University College Dublin, provided timely insights which posed much food for thought on navigating the future of AI in society.

We also welcomed perspectives from UTM Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Mohd Shafry Mohd Rahim + Deputy Head of Delegation of the EU in Malaysia Timo Goosmann.
