The Iraqi Parliament’s proposal to lower the legal marriage age for girls from 18 to 9 years old is an assault on childhood. Girls are not spouses—they are children who deserve their right to grow up with protection and dignity.

Christianity is bigger than a bigger standard of living. It is bigger than japa, or affording your rent, or buying a car or eating well. Jesus did not come to earth to die for a better standard of living. He didn’t give the Great Commission for a better standard of living.

Back again to say that disagreement ≠ condemnation. It's okay to disagree without vilification. Not liking something that was said does not mean complete dislike for the person who said it. I don't agree is not equal to I hate you.

Funny that love demands some sort of amnesia. That you forget who they were and what they did, but insist on loving in spite! Truly a higher call
