The Erongo Regional Council held a Community Meeting at the Tsoaxudaman Traditional Authority Boardroom in Otjimbingwe on Monday, 26 January 2026 to address ongoing water supply challenges.

The engagement focused on accountability, clear interventions, and coordinated solutions, with NamWater providing feedback and commitments towards restoring reliable water supply for the community.

Hon. Kanelombe, called for monthly progress updates and urgent feedback on interventions, as the Governor’s intervention address was delivered on behalf of the Office of the Governor, directing accountability, clear timelines, and coordinated action from NamWater and authorities

This event marked an important milestone in strengthening preventive healthcare, with a strong focus on safeguarding the health and wellbeing of children in Namibia.

The Polio Vaccination Campaign by the Ministry of Health and Social Services has kickstarted countrywide for all children under the age of 10 years. The first round will end on Thursday, 29 January 2026 whilst the second round will be from 24 February 2026 to 27 February 2026.
