All the dudes on here talking about how their guns are the only thing keeping the government from putting us all in concentration camps are definitely the same dudes who would willingly sign up to be the guards at those concentration camps.

It's not feasible for to seize all the AR15s. How about this: Govt will buy back at fair price. You don't have to sell, but if you keep the gun you have to register it. If you don't - felony. You can't sell it. If you do - felony. Nobody else can fire it. If so - felony.

"We have the lowest violent crime rate in the city, but I think we can pull resources from other parts of the city and drive it even lower!" - Mary Norwood, probably

As a Fulton County resident and lawyer, I just really can't get hyped for these Trump indictments. It's important work, but it also feels like Fani is running for Governor. Between this and YSL our criminal docket has ground to a near halt. All while men die in Rice Street.

I feel it is my duty to remind everyone that Kwanza Hall is a cryptocurrency shill and political grifter who endorsed Governor Brian Kemp and Coup Conspirator Burt Jones.

"With the fatal stabbing, five Fulton County inmates have died in recent weeks, and the notoriously dangerous jail is under review by the U.S. Justice Department." This is why so many of us in Atlanta took no pleasure from the bookings and mugshots. ajc.com/news/crime/bre…

I have an outside-the-box idea about what we should do with a turnkey hospital facility. And y'all hear me out. HOW ABOUT WE FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPEN IT UP AS A FUCKING HOSPITAL AGAIN! roughdraftatlanta.com/2023/09/13/cit…

A vote seems like a way for Mayor Dickens to get out of the political quagmire he is in. So what do we think Governor Kemp is holding over his head to make him to continue to cap so hard for the police training facility? (a) Buckhead City 2.0 (b) State Airport Takeover (c) Both

Governor Kemp and Chris Carr appear to be setting up crime as their top issue. So, plan on lots more disingenuous rhetoric characterizing Atlanta as a violent hellhole in the coming years. But also, in 2022 violent crime was down 8% in Atlanta. And is down 21% so far this year.

Atlanta voters may not agree on Cop City, BeltLine rail, and a host of other issues. But I think we all agree that these staggered, off-year Atlanta School Board elections are just the dumbest possible idea.

They say local newspapers are dying because of the internet, but I choose to believe it's because they aren't fully leveraging potential income streams. For example, your newspaper could double as the PR arm of the local police department.
