Central BP stronger predictor of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in middle-aged adults, even when accounting for brachial BP. (not observed in older adults). Further research: role of central BP in assessing CVD risk for middle-age. journals.lww.com/jhypertension/…

In this new cohort study published in J Hypertension, we investigated the age-stratified association of cardiovascular disease with brachial and central blood pressures and evaluated corresponding improvement in model performance.
