Even with the winter storm our team had a very productive meeting over Microsoft teams! The security team has rescheduled their visit to Habitat, and the saw dust team will begin their third prototype. Also, both teams started working on the mid-year design review presentation.

This week the security team made major progress with their visit to Habitat. Both bay area cameras have been installed! Also, the saw dust team began testing ideas for their third prototype.

This semesters mid-year design review went great! Thank you to all our design reviewers for attending and giving both teams feedback. We are excited to take this feedback and get back to working on our projects.

This week both teams had productive work days! Sadly, the security team had to reschedule their visit to Habitat, yet made lots of progress on their user manual. Also, the saw dust team continued to work on their prototypes.

Today the security team hit another milestone for their project. The pole barn floodlight camera was successfully installed! Also, the saw dust team has been continuing to work on their third prototype.

Both teams had successful visits to Habitat this week! The saw dust team ran tests on their latest prototype and received feedback. Also, the security team finalized all the camera settings on the app.

With all the security cameras being successfully installed and the app settings being finalized, the security team is nearing the delivery stage of their project!! This week they worked on their final documentation. Also, the saw dust team made progress on their final prototype.

This week the saw dust team had a very productive visit to Habitat testing out their latest prototype. Also, the security team is very close to the end their project. Their user manual has been printed out and EPICS stickers have been added to the security cameras!

Today, both teams prepared and practiced presenting for next weeks final design review. We are looking forward to seeing everyone who joins us next week!

We’re back and excited to work on our two new projects for the fall 2022 semester! On the right we have the electrical pole storage team and on the left is the concrete blanket storage team.

Last week was our Mid-semester Design Review. Our two teams presented their progress and future plans to our HFH partners and professional engineers. Thank you to our reviewers for coming out and providing valuable feedback!

This week the Electrical Pole Storage team is brainstorming solutions to the issues brought up at the Mid-Semester Design Review.

Today the Electrical Poles Storage team took a trip to the HFH warehouse to meet with our partners and brainstorm ideas for the project. Our partners also demonstrated how the poles are currently being raised and lowered in the warehouse.

After a productive day in the lab, the Concrete Blanket Storage team ran into EPICS’s lead instructional lab manager Brandon Stevens!

Today the EPS team tested the mechanics of their first prototype!

Another fun week of building prototypes in the lab for both teams!

Our two teams finished off the semester with their Final Design Review presentations. A big thank you to all the reviewers who came to provide valuable feedback! We’re looking forward to continuing work on our projects next semester.
