#TBT This week we look back at our first Solar Technician training in Mbarara, where our mobile trainers delivered relevant technical and soft skills training and allowed local youth to gain real world experience in the solar industry.

Yesterday, our Mbale cohort competed their DIT assessments, marking the last major component in completing their Solar Technical Training! #solar #Uganda #Mbale #RenewableEnergy #CareerReadiness

Did you know that the #USEA estimates that by 2020, 60 percent of households in Uganda will have a solar energy product or will be receiving solar related services. This exponential growth highlights Uganda’s critical need for trained, certified solar technicians!

After successful completion of their DIT exams earlier this month, the Mbale cohort walked the stage to become certified solar technicians and Enlight Graduates. We have not doubt that this group of bright individuals will have great success in their future endeavours! Congrats!!

Fact of the week: As more homes become illuminated, the need for technicians also increases. At Enlight we are empowering local youth with the skills to illuminate Uganda!
