Don't miss the chance to check out the Royal Society Publishing stand at #EMMC19_Madrid. You might even win a great prize!

Yesterday, we celebrated day 1 of the European Mechanics of Materials Conference #EMMC19 in Madrid, this year organised by IMDEA Materials Institute, and hosted by CaminosUPM at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid!

🥘 The afternoon session of day 2 at #EMMC19_Madrid is now underway at CaminosUPM, and nobody can say that our attendees have gone hungry after the amazing spread put on by the event's organisers.

🥱Things have wrapped up here at CaminosUPM at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid after a long second day of #EMMC19_Madrid. Here you can see a little of what went on as we hear from presenters, Alessandra Lingua from ETH Zürich, Jorge González from UC3M and Luis Gulfo from Chalmers University of Technology. @LDeLorenzisETHZ

Even though we are now in the home stretch of #EMMC19_Madrid, this was just the first of many great talks and seminars still to come on the final day of the event at CaminosUPM today!

Today's afternoon session of #EMMC19_Madrid is underway at CaminosUPM of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The topic of Fracture and Damage is centre stag. We are pleased to have heard from Aurélien Doitran (INSA Lyon), Beatriz Sanz from the UPM and Veronique Lazarus (ENSTA Paris) on this topic.

And that's a wrap! The final seminar of #EMMC19_Madrid has been delivered by Philipp Rosendahl (TU Darmstadt) on Predicting the tensile strength of etched glass using the coupled criterion. The talk was given in honour of the late Dominique Leguillion.
