Kindergarten - Cycle 2 (9/14-9/21): Read Corduroy by Don Freeman and A Perfectly Messed-Up Story by Patrick McDonnell. We talked about how to take care of our books, where we keep our library books at home, and our own home library.

1st Grade - Cycle 2 (9/14-9/21): Read The Dark by Lemony Snicket and A Perfectly Messed-Up Story by Patrick McDonnell. Reviewed taking care or our books and selecting good fit books.

2nd Grade - Cycle 2 (/14-9/21): Read A Perfectly Messed-Up Story by Patrick McDonnell and started reading Giants Beware! by by Jorge Aguirre. Reviewed how to take care of our books and selecting good fit books.

Kindergarten - Cycle 3 (9/22-9/29). Read Polo & Lily by Régis Faller and started Curious George Goes to the Hospital by Margret & H.A. Rey. Talked about the Everybody (picture book) section, how it's arranged A-Z, then practiced finding different letters in that section.

1st Grade - Cycle 3 (9/22-9/29). Read Peppermint by Dorothy Grider and On the Other Side of the Forest by Nadine Robert. Talked about the Everybody (picture book) section, how it's arranged A-Z, and then practiced finding different letters in that section.

2nd Grade - Cycle 3 (9/22-9/29). Read Those Darn Squirrels! by Adam Rubin and started reading Giants Beware! by Jorge Aguirre. Reviewed how the Everybody (picture book) section is organized and then practiced finding different letters in that section.

UPK - Cycle 3 (9/22-9/29). Read A Perfectly Messed-Up Story by Patrick McDonnell. We talked about how to take care of our books, where we keep our library books at home, and our own home library.

UPK - Cycle 4 (9/30-10/7). Read Just a Big Storm by Mercer Mayer. Played a letter hunt game in the Everybody (picture book) section. We're getting good at picking out books! FYI our books stay in the classroom. Next year when they are big kindergarteners they can take them home.

1st Grade - Cycle 4 (9/30-10/7). Read Rumpelstiltskin retold by Paul O. Zelinski and Carrot and Pea, an Unlikely Friendship by Morag Hood. Practiced finding different letters in the Fiction section.

2nd Grade - cycle 4 and 5 (9/30-10/19). Read Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White. Continued reading Giants Beware! Practiced searching for section letters in the Fiction Section.

UPK - Cycle 5 (10/11-10/19). Read The Pigeon Needs a Bath by Mo Willems. Searched for different letters in the Everybody (picture book) section.

Kindergarten - Cycle 5 (October 11-19). read Madeline's Rescue by Ludwig Bemelmans. Started reading Polo and the Runaway Book by Régis Faller. Practiced searching for call numbers in the Everybody Section.

1st Grade - Cycle 5 (October 11-19). Read Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds. Finished reading Rumpelstiltskin. Practiced finding call numbers in the Fiction Section.
