3 pieces of advice for hitters this season

1. Less = More

The harder you try, the more you force something to happen, the worse the result will be.

2. Simplify

The better the competition, the more you need to simplify.

3. Learn not to care

You care, but can you learn not to

🚨 Advice from Jackson Holliday - Keep lifting & eating during the season - Fatigue can derail great years - While others fade you get stronger ⭐️ Your goal as a player is to peak at the end of the season - not today.

Reminder: Set what’s important to you. Don’t let your crazy schedule overrun what you prioritize - What moves the needle? - What’s important? ✅ Put those at the top of the focus list

Shohei Ohtani just became the only member of the 50/50 Club. I've spent *hours* binging Japanese video to study him. Here's 7 things he does (that makes him so great): #ohtani #大谷翔平

I asked Max Clark: In 2 years... - 60y dash went from: 7.2s → 6.4s - Exit velo went from: 85 → 102 mph (+17 mph!) What contributed most? He said: "It was all about force production. Moving weight fast + heavy weight. To be fast you've gotta train fast + explosive”

Year after year, I see the best swings come from the same college programs. Instead of obsessing over 2-strike, no-stride, choppy swings… Build a swing that doesn’t miss strikes one and two in the first place. Reverse engineer your two-strike approach.

Two things CONSISTENTLY stand out in the high-level players I train or get to know: - They don’t need to be pushed—they push themselves. - They’re usually more physical + bigger than their competition. It’s not always about height but overall size and strength.
