Arcane is at its most visually confident and emotionally devastating through the first six episodes of its last season. While I’m a little skeptical they can tie everything together thematically in the last three episodes, the first two acts we got for review are excellent.

Pokemon Gold and Silver turn 25 tomorrow, so I reflected on how Gen II's many changes, big and small, helped pave the way for the many sequels to come.

I really enjoyed my time with Sorry We're Closed, a survival horror game that's mostly about surviving getting dumped. I wrote a bit about its thoughtfully presented relationships, approach to romance, and other storytelling boons.

I put together Paste's Best Anime of 2024 list. The industry continues to be on fire, but that didn't stop talented creatives from making the most of a bad situation with some real showstoppers. Apothecary Diaries, Delicious In Dungeon, DanDaDan, etc.; this year was a good one.
