“I think it would be quite rude if I didn’t at least dress up a little for you. But…that all sounds lovely to me, Brett.” Clarice couldn’t keep her grin contained anymore. Each corner of her mouth was stretched wide into a grin. Her eyes excitedly looking over as she drove.

“You look perfect even when you aren’t smiling.” Clarice spoke in perhaps some hyperbole, but truth at least to her. She felt both excitement and dismay as she saw they were approaching Brett’s home. She hated that she wasn’t going to be here yet, but thrilled for later.

“I should be maybe about an hour. I doubt I could make myself not be here for any longer than that.” She spoke back in a softly teasing tone. Parking the van as she couldn’t help but turn back to speak once again to Brett. “Pardon me for saying this but - you’re stunning.”

Clarice’s lips kept themselves pursed after the kiss. As if keeping the memory of Brett’s soft lips as she would maintain that grin on her face. Watching Brett’s figure as she walked away for a bit before Clarice promptly headed back out to finish her last few drop-offs.
