It has now been two months of frustration.... ongoing while we try and get lootcoza to respond in an acceptable way after they sent us a used coffee grinder instead of a new one. A horrific situation Ref: TGCJ-319B790 or 189466616. Hellopeter Wendy Knowler

Hows this…. our lovely branded #jeep #Renegade 1,4 Limited with only 34 000km on the clock and we have to replace a turbo for R24 0000… ah of course… the warranty is over! Jeep South Africa … took it in for a normal service, everything working, …. And now this, we are all stunned!

Grateful that #Jeep have given a 70% parts discount but we still must pay in R9000 for the 30% and agent costs. We sent an email request direct to #Jeep SA that they consider a full replacement. Mileage of 34 000 considered, a turbo replacement shouldn’t be necessary. Jeep South Africa

OK so (a) written to Jeep South Africa = no response to date (b) I now discover there was an internal workshop “cautionary bulletin” about this very same turbo, I still can’t accept this only lasted 34 000 km’s…. Surely this is classified as a latent defect? #Jeep #Renegade #problems

Cutman & Hawk Coffee Jeep South Africa That “cautionary bulletin” is key in this case

Consumers have the right to receive a quality product, free of defects, and that said products perform to reasonable expectations. A modern car can surely be expected to give 100 000 km’s of trouble free motoring. This is not the case here #Jeep Jeep Jeep South Africa Wendy Knowler

I must also say, we really love this little car… so sad that it has come to this, took us three years to pay for it.. having overcome this hurdle, we are now faced with huge unexpected expenses! Wendy Knowler Hellopeter Jeep South Africa Jeep

#Jeep saga goes on. Now into 3rd week of no car, agent calls to say the turbo is actually fine. I insist on a certificate of good order. When I collect, no certificate, and I am told they are running more tests. No car yet, no meaningful response from Jeep South Africa Jeep Wendy Knowler

The saga with my Jeep South Africa #jeep comes to an end. 18 Days of no car; numerous emails, demands, meetings & personal trauma! It is “finally” determined their quote for a new turbo was totally unnecessary, a vacuum pipe just needed securing! Wonder how it got lose in the first place?

Issues with Jeep South Africa Jeep #Jeep Ronnies Motors are set to continue. After taking delivery of a “repaired” vehicle and trading it in, it’s on it’s way back to the agent with (I am told) a turbo leakage problem. Now the 4th week after it went in for a service. What’s next I wonder

This story just keeps getting bigger, the #Jeep been back at Ronnies Motors for another 7 calendar days, so it is week 5 with no car. I remain frustrated, what makes this repair/diagnosis so difficult? Aside from “acknowledgements” NOTHING from Jeep South Africa

Story of Jeep South Africa continues. Went in for a no-fault service, the #Jeep is back, NINE week later, & a cost of +/- R15 000! A new turbo after only 34000 kms! We raised a dispute through the agent Ronnies Motors let’s see what happens. This is our second (and last) Jeep Jeep !!

So…. independent test showed the turbo (which Jeep South Africa insisted needed replacing) was 100% in good order. It appears as-if, due to the so-called experts not being able to fix an electronic issue, the only way-around was an unnecessary full part replacement. Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa
