Day 3 of Hub's unemployment. I have no space. I have no quiet. He just figured out I do stuff around the house. He's fascinated.

But please don't be an accountant.

Week 1 in the books of Hubs's unemployment. This past weekend he proudly announced he helped me by changing and washing the sheets. But didn't touch the pillowcases.

I am supposed to be working on edits. There are 20 legs currently in my home. None are planning on leaving today.

In deference to the great author, Hope Adraeanna Bragg, I am expanding my gang-member's vocabulary and making him use words other than, "bulls***".

Door is closed. I am TRYING to work on edits. Family knows this and that's why they are only walking in 4 times an hour to ask me something obscure. This is a big improvement from 25 times an hour yesterday while also letting the kittens in. So, progress! #WritingCommunity

For my next fete, I will round up two teen-aged, hangry kittens, enclose them in a box and take them to the vet where their manhood will forever been removed. And, I will attempt to do this while keeping all my skin and sanity.

You don’t need more writing time. You need a feedback loop that actually improves your writing.

It's a word. It describes a body condition. The receiver can make what they want out of it.

Roofers are here today. All the other humans left me to manage the animals. Dog is on a tranq--it isn't working. She's ready to jump through the walls. The other 2 vacillate between hiding under my feet and helping the dog escape. Oh yeah, I'm also supposed to be editing.

In accordance with our family's fire marshal, I'm not allowed to burn candles at 4 a.m. any more. Also... unattended soy candles can become a fire hazard.
