Today in CentralNL. A shout out to all the community pharmacists. Thank you for ensuring people get some continuity of care even if they have no doc. Your insights are invaluable to the providers who are trying to help from afar but don’t know your patients like you do. #nlpoli

It is really quite shocking that primary care access has continued to deteriorate and is now a crisis level problem. Turning this around will require fed and prov gov's finally acknowledging and prioritizing the issue and meaningfully engaging with stakeholders on the ground.

Today In CentralNL. If your family member is admitted to one of our rural hospitals, please ask who will be providing medical care when your site is on diversion. Families and patients need to understand the plan for care and have the right to know #nlpoli #healthcarecrisis

Today in CentralNL. My heart breaks reading this story. I can’t imagine the stress of transporting an unstable patient 3 hours with spotty cell service and only one person to provide care. This is unimaginable. These paramedics need our support cbc.ca/news/canada/ne…

It’s Nurses Week.I’ve worked with and cared for many nurses. Recently, the stories of shortages, overtime and difficult working conditions make me sad for my colleagues. They are struggling. Our system stands on the backs of nurses and they are tired.#MoreThanThanks #NursesWeek

Today in CentralNL. There are ~40% less family doctors in our region than there were 5 years ago. What number do we need to lose before our leaders take notice? Is 50% the magic number or will it take every last FD leaving? Please just tell us so we can get it over with #nlpoli

Today in CentralNL.Conditions in our hub ER’s are terrible. Overworked staff wonder how they are going to make it through the day and question whether they can do it again tomorrow. Sick vulnerable patients lose any dignity in crowded hallways and waiting rooms. #HealthCareCrisis

Finally ⁦Health and Community Services NL⁩! We need to know how many people are without a FD in our province. I just registered myself and hoping I’ll eventually get primary care. Also hoping to see meaningful initiatives to actually reduce the numbers on the list. ⁦ gov.nl.ca/hcs/patient-co…
