If The SNP (or any other political party) want to contribute significantly to shrinking the gap between bottom and top of society while simultaneously growing the economy- FUND COLLEGES!

What the hell is the Scottish Govt doing about this strike ? Where is Graeme Dey ? Where is Jenny Gilruth ? Are they going to starve lecturers back to work? It is outrageous that they are sitting back and doing nothing

Peter Woods Neil Findlay Graeme Dey Jenny Gilruth Every trade unionist should be following the FE dispute very closely, and be very worried. Workers are getting ground down by continual strike action, reps being made redundant, TUs ignored in colleges, principals deeming staff with impunity & no intervention from ScotGov? ✊

Wow. Congratulations to College Employers Scotland & Scottish Government who have managed to fail college students for 2 successive years. 2 cohorts finishing with no results due to your inaction. 2 years of failure by Graeme Dey Shame on you all, we won’t forget it at the ballot box

REMEMBER RE-BALLOT!! With many of Scotland's lecturers finising for summer this week, please remember to vote in the FELA Re-Ballot. It is so important that you use your vote, so that you will be heard and counted as we continue #FightingforFE !! #TenDayTurnaround #MayDEY

The allegedly arms length nature of Quangos like CES is a convenient fiction for Governments. Over the years, it’s becoming a less & less credible excuse. The buck stops with you and your political class . If you can’t deal with CES, perhaps the Scot Gov should step aside?

Disturbed by @UHIShetland management choice to withhold 100% of pay for legitimate ASOS. What an unhelpful response to industrial action with national EISFela mandate. #DeemedIfWeDoDamnedIfWeDont

New episode of The Ordinary Elite now streaming on the industrial dispute with Scottish lecturers at colleges of further education. They are seeking fair pay. John McGovern and I are joined by journalist Jim Spence - a former lecturer himself EIS-FELA CoGC open.spotify.com/episode/66Il7r…

Sincerely hoping this spells the end of a dispute which has gone on far too long. Full solidarity with EISFela as they hopefully get a deal over the line. Would be lovely to see a dispute which cost me my college results, end as i go into 2nd year of uni 😂

The Herald team put weeks into answering some of the big questions about Scottish university funding and the model that sustains the sector. Today was just the start. Much more to come this week as we dig into student trends and look to the future.
